Worship Support

The Worship Team assists the pastor in implementing some aspects of our worship services and special worship events. We also offer training for those who are interested in becoming Worship Leaders for Sunday services. Activities include Reading Scripture, Serving Communion, Altar Flowers, Ushering and Greeting. Door Greeter Be the first smiling, welcoming face our visitors and members see when they attend Sunday 10am Worship Service. Help us show the love of Christ to our visitors and members.  Greeters need to arrive 15 minutes before service and remain at the door 15 minutes after service begins.

Usher Ushers assist the congregation during worship services distributing worship bulletins, collecting the offering and prayer requests and distributing the visitor’s package to first time visitors.

Communion Server Assist the Pastor in serving Holy Communion elements of bread and “wine” (grape juice used at MUMC) to the congregation during worship service.

Lectors Are you interested in reading the scripture at the 10:00 o’clock Sunday Worship or on other special occasions?

Altar Flowers Volunteers support on a regular or on-call basis to arrange the flowers for the Altar and/or to help with the arrangements for Christmas and Easter services. Also assists in drop-off of flowers to homebound members, nursing homes and/or hospitals.
